Today, I created a giant artwork with children. 🎨

I believe art doesn’t start when we begin painting.

It starts while we’re getting ready.

“What kind of picture will we make today?”

“What new colors will appear?”

That feeling of excitement is already art.

No one knows the exact moment when art is born.

But if we don’t move our hearts and our hands, it can’t be born.

I believe everyone has a universe inside their heart.

When people hear the word art, they often think about paintings or finished pieces.

But for me, art is much more than that.

Trying something new.

Making mistakes.

Laughing.

Creating something together.

Of course, the finished painting is important.

But the time when everyone was completely absorbed in creating, that is the real artwork for all of us.

Today, the children showed me so many beautiful universes.

That’s why I believe life itself is art.

今日、子どもたちとビッグアートをしました🎨

私は、アートって描き始めてからじゃなくて、準備している時からもう始まっていると思うんだよ。

「今日はどんな絵になるんやろう。」

「どんな色が生まれるんやろう。」

そんなワクワクする時間も、私にとってはアート。

アートって、どのタイミングで生まれるのか、誰にもわからない。

でも、自分の心を動かして、自分の手を動かさないと、生まれてこない。

私は、みんなの心の中には宇宙みたいに広い世界があると思うんだよ。

アートって聞くと、「絵」や「作品」を思い浮かべる人が多いけど、私にとってアートはそれだけじゃない。

挑戦したり、失敗したり、笑ったり、誰かと一緒に何かをつくったり。

完成した絵はもちろん大切。

でも、みんなが夢中になっていた時間こそ、みんなにとっても、私にとっても作品なんだ。

今日も子どもたちから、たくさんの宇宙を見せてもらった。

だから私は、人生そのものがアートなんだって思う。
